  1. Whilst reviewing the human health appendix (J) of Volume 2D, two things jumped out at me.

1.Throughout the report there is often reference (starting on page 4-8), to the ‘Sydney Area Health Service’ in relation to tables, statistics, other information and comments. The problem is that area health services have not existed in Sydney since 2010 and there was never a single ‘Sydney Area Health Service’. We now have a number of different Local Health Districts.

This mistake makes me question the source, accuracy and currency of the heath information data used in the EIS report. The data used in the report seems jumbled and mixed up, and not necessarily matched up to present a coherent analysis of the human health status of Sydney’s population.

The EIS report can’t have been written by someone in the know. If it was, such repeated and inaccurate attribution would have not been made. Surely not? Makes me wonder whether this human health report may been recycled and partially ‘updated’ from previous attempts to build a short, medium or long tunnel through Haberfield.

    2. Look and check it out (page 1-4):

‘Table 1.2 Error! Reference source not found. provides details of the human health requirements outlined in the agency letters and a cross reference to the relevant section(s) of this report which address these conditions.’

A layout mistake, or have they really lost their reference source from NSW Health and Ashfield Council, and/or other agencies? Who knows, and how much weight we an give to the validity any data or information presented in this appendix?
